Using Video Sites Like YouTube for Your Business

YouTube is an American online video sharing service headquartered in San Francisco, California. The service, built in February 2021 by two former PayPal employees (Chad Hurley, Steve Chen, & Jawed Karim), was purchased by Google in October 2021 for a then-record US$1.65 Billion. Since its founding, YouTube has been rated as the fastest growing search engine on the web and has millions of active users. Millions of users can be found browsing YouTube every day.

When a user searches YouTube for a particular topic, he/she must either click on Go or Enter to see results from related videos or browse by category to see a specific type of video. If you are an affiliate, it is essential that you submit your YouTube links to increase your YouTube search results page’s relevance. In addition to this, you must also submit at least one YouTube promotional video per month to increase your YouTube exposure to your target market. There is no limit on how many videos you can upload but submitting a maximum of five videos will increase your chances of being on the first page of results. As you build your YouTube exposure, YouTube will categorize and organize all your videos for later downloads. This will lead to higher viewing rates and more views when people search for specific videos.

The second way to get your videos suggested for inclusion in YouTube is through the use of YouTube search engine’s first referral system or the YouTube recommendation algorithm. The first referral system is based on certain characteristics of each video such as its popularity, views, and keywords. YouTube first recommends videos based on an estimate of its likelihood of being watched by a user. Based on these factors, YouTube suggests relevant videos based on user parameters such as demographics. The second system uses the YouTube user ratings to suggest videos that may have high viewership among a particular audience.

As you can see, there are several ways to increase your chance of being suggested for inclusion in YouTube. By using these two primary methods discussed above, you increase your odds of being suggested for inclusion. However, the actual effectiveness of the two methods used to recommend your videos will depend on the amount of traffic your videos receive and your internet connection speed. Some people will get lucky and their YouTube recommendations will generate a lot of traffic to their websites. Other people will not be as lucky and their videos may generate a small amount of traffic.

Another way you can get your videos suggested for YouTube is by using the information about the individual who created the video. See if there is a link provided for you on the individual’s channel where you can find information about the video creator. If there is, you can include the link on your website. The use of YouTube videos to promote your business on your own channel has been proven to be quite effective, but using the information about the creator of the video will increase the chance that people will recognize your video name and visit your website.

The third most used channel, after YouTube and Facebook, for the purpose of promoting videos for the purpose of increasing traffic is the twitter account. Unlike the other two, twitter provides an excellent opportunity to link your video to other parts of your site or blog. The random walks recommendation engine, which is based on the YouTube channel, is also recommended to help increase the popularity of your video and get it picked up by the social networking giant.
